March 17-May 8, 2015
Public Reception: March 22, 2-4 pm
The Hoyt Regional has been showcasing the work of the area’s most talented artists for over 40 years! This year will be no exception as juror Dan Byer, the Richard Armstrong Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Carnegie Museum of Art, took on the task of narrowing down more than 300 entries from 125 artists to a comprehensive show.
As co-curator of the 2013 Carnegie International, Byer is familiar with the challenges of picking and choosing among the cream of the global crop. Byer also served as a curatorial fellow at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis and Assistant to the Directors at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia.
