Arts and Education at the Hoyt wants to send you to Erie this Fall! Our friends at Erie Arts & Culture are hosting two Regional In-Service Trainings for art and music educators on October 14, 2019.

The Hoyt is offering full scholarships to cover the conference fees for Art and Music Educators at Lawrence County Schools who would like to attend.

Regional Common In-Service Training for Music Educators

Monday, October 14, 2019, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

This one-day training at the Cathedral of St. Paul (134 West 7th Street, Erie, PA 16501) will feature presentations from a variety of speakers, including staff from the Erie Philharmon­ic, Erie Philharmonic Chorus, and Junior Philharmonic, who will share ideas for immediate incorporation into the elementary music, band, and choral classrooms/programs.Teachers earn 5 hours of Act 48.

Regional Common In-Service for Art Educators: From Community to Classroom

Earn Act 48 hours at the Erie Art Museum (20 E 5th St, Jrle, PA 16507 during Regional Common In-Service this fall. The goal? Introduce you to a number of local artists who' II share classroom ready activities that'll surely get you thinking in new and exciting ways. Work with fellow teachers, guest artists and speakers in hands on art-making workshops. Teachers earn 5.75 hours of Act 48 . This week is being offered in partnership with PAEA, E Arts & Culture and IU5.
