Short Film & Video Festival
Arts & Education at the Hoyt has teamed up with Slippery Rock University to host the first annual Short Film & Video Festival at Arts on the Riverwalk! Located at the historic Warner Film Center in downtown New Castle, the Short Film & Video Festival strives to connect the traditions of film with the medium's continuing evolution. We seek a varied representation of artistic visions and methods of production employed by time-based artists and filmmakers. The juried exhibition will consider all genres in junior (ages 3-17) and adult (age 18+) categories.

Awards: Junior (ages 13-17) 1st - $100, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50
Adult (ages 18+) 1st - $250, 2nd - $150, 3rd - $100
Eligibility: 250 mile radius of New Castle, PA. Work completed in last three years (no earlier than January 1, 2014). No longer than 20 minutes.
Include with submissions:
- Check/Money Order made out to: Arts & Education at the Hoyt
- Completed Entry Form
- Artist's Statement/Synopsis of Work
- Film/Video Submission in mp4 format on USB flash drive
- Film/Video still in JPEG format
- SASE for return of USB flash drive (if desired)
