Photography by Rachel Solomon

April 29 - July 1
Opening Reception: May 25, 5-7pm

A retrospective exhibit of the multi-talented Rachel Solomon’s photography will be on display at The Confluence April 29-July 1, 2016. The daughter of Jonathan and Nanette Solomon, Rachel was an honors graduate of New Castle Senior High School who actively performed in band, plays, and the annual Nutcracker ballet throughout the community.

She was a member of the Children’s Festival Chorus based at Duquesne University and later served in the Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

While Rachel studied voice at the Governor’s School for the Arts, she also studied photography at Ithaca College and received a degree in English from Slippery Rock University. She would have received a Masters in Creative Writing were it not for illness. After relocating to the Cleveland area, she continued to pursue photography and joined the Cleveland Skeptics. While passing away unexpectedly in 2014, her photography can still be viewed at nevermindthecamera.com.
