Exhibition Opening

Arts & Education at the Hoyt presents "I Am - We Are".

The Diamond Girls program, facilitated by the YMCA and founded by Michele Perelman and Octavia Payne, pairs mentors with junior and senior high school girls, ages 12 to 18 years old. They meet each month to discuss a variety of topics aimed at giving young women the guidance they need to reach a successful adulthood. The initiative stresses responsibility, accountability and self-respect.

The exhibition features portraits of the girls and their mentors and will be on display at The Conflunece.
