Children's Festival

This year's Children's Summer Arts Festival is celebrating a Summer at the Movies! Admission is free. Activities are geared toward children ages 3-12, but ages are welcome.

Activities inspired by Star Wars, The Incredibles, and Jurassic Park bring the big screen to the Hoyt lawn for a fun-filled art-venture featuring:

  • Chalk on the Walk Competition

  • Tie Dying (Bring your own shirt, or buy one of ours for $5)

  • Caricatures by Richard DiGia
  • Live Performances

New Castle Playhouse Mini Stars

The NCP Mini Stars will make their annual appearance at noon! Ranging in age from 8-18, this group of 35 young people has been energizing audiences with a spectacular blend of song & dance for 16 years.

 

Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Stare down a Spinosaurus with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History! This 10 foot robotic dinosaur puppet will make an appearance at 1 pm. Carnegie's palentologists will be offering dinosaur activities from 11-3.

 

New Castle Community YMCA

Can you use the force to run like a dinosaur or soar like a superhero? Find out with the New Castle YMCA! They're bringing their own brand of physical creativity to the festival of the year.
