Now in our 5th year, Arts on the Riverwalk continues to grow - becoming one of the most anticipated events of the summer! The Artists Market is the center of the festivities, featuring over 50 artists, craftsmen and artisans! Works include pottery, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, wordwork, soaps, lotion and many more. All Artists Market works must be original and hand-crafted.

We have extended the festival hours (noon - 8 pm) to maximize opportunity for sales. The festival will again feature three stages of entertainment, make & take activities for all ages, film festival, lectures & discussions and more!

Originality: All work must be original, hand-crafted and for sale.

Eligible Categories: Our market is best suited to ceramics/pottery, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, photography, soaps/lotions, up-cycled or recycled apparel or other art, candles and wood. Other categories may be considered if they fit within the scope of the market.

In-eligible Categories: We will not accept commercially produced work or buy/sell items. Works made from commercially produced patterns, molds, castings or kits will not be accepted. When necessary to use commercial components, they must be subordinate to the overall creativity and/or originality of the work.

Display: Artists are required to provide their own display equipment including tents, tables, chairs, electric cords, lighting, electrical cords and other display equipment. Only work of the same quality and category approved by the jury may be displayed. Work must remain exhibited during festival hours, 12-8 pm. All booth spaces are outside, on the street. No music should be played from vendor booths as it interferes with stage and street performances.

Sales Tax: The collection and payment of sales tax is the responsibility of the artist. We urge all participants to obtain a resale tax number. For more information, please contact the PA Department of Revenue in New Castle at 724.654.3203.

Insurance: Insurance for personal property and personal injury of the artist and his/her representatives is the responsibility of the artist. Arts & Education at the Hoyt and the City of New Castle cannot be held liable for damage or injury of any kind, including theft, weather, accident or other unforeseen acts.

Parking: Reserved parking will be provided for all vendors in the Mercer Street Parking Garage.

Set Up: Set up will begin at 9 am on Saturday, Sept. 8. Booths should be complete and all vehicles moved to the parking garage by 11 am.

Tear Down: Begins at 8 pm. All items must be removed from the festival grounds that night.

Jury Fee: There is a $10 non-refundable jury fee for review of work. Jury fee will be applied to the booth fee for applications received prior to May 1.

Booth Fees: Booth fees must be paid in full prior to August 10 in order to secure your booth space. 10x10 $50; 10x10 $100.
