Arts on the Riverwalk Festival Workshops

This year's festival will include several interactive workshops led by professional artists, musicians and writers, giving visitors hands-on experience of various art forms. Workshops will be located in the conference room of The Confluence and open to walk-ins. Workshops will fill up quickly, though, so register below to secure your spot! 

 

3:00 p.m. Embroiderer's Guild

This group will demonstrate cross-stitch and and attendees will have the opportunity to try it out for themselves! Other types of needle work will be available for viewing as well. 

4:00 p.m. Gregg Valley, Muralist

Hear from Gregg Valley, the Pittsburgh mural artist who completed the 5-story mural in the Mercer Street parking garage. He will talk about his experience doing public art to benefit communities and answer attendees' questions.

5:00 p.m. House Portraits Workshop

Marianne Hilke will demonstrate how to create works of art of your home or favorite architectural structure through drawing or painting. 

6:00 p.m. Children's Cello Workshop

Cellist Beth Goldstein McKee will lead this fun, interactive cello workshop for kids. Bring your little ones and watch them try their hands at kid-sized cellos.

7:00 p.m. Floral Painting Workshop

Marianne Hilke will demonstrate painting techniques for creating beautiful floral elements for your next art project.
